Carolyn Sills Combo wanted a video to commemorate a classic Coloradoan Cowboy
Another New Video from The Carolyn Sills Combo:
We’re pleased to introduce you to our pal, Alan Brown! The whitewater rafting, hockey playing, horseback riding, cowboy poetry reciting, two steppin’ mustachioed cowboy motorcyclist whom we had the pleasure of befriending in Colorado back in 2018. After meeting at The Swing Station in LaPorte when we opened for the great Halden Wofford & the Hi*Beams, Alan came to every show we played in Colorado across three different tours. Sometimes he’d beat us to the gig, and we’d show up to him leaning against his motorcycle, smiling beneath that handlebar mustache. He was always good for a story, a dance or a laugh. He shared our music with his grandkids and encouraged us to explore more of the beautiful state of Colorado. Alan passed away in 2022, before we had a chance to ‘tour’ with him once again, but we’ll always feel his joyful presence when out in Colorado. We hope you enjoy this new tune written for our friend.
